AMBOS NBGO organizes on 25 March 2015 from 12.00 until 14.30 a lunch debate regarding the upcoming social elections in 2016, with a special focus on 'preparation and strategic decisions'.

In December 2015 the social elections process will start all over again, enabling 1,500,000 employees to elect their representatives at the works Council and/or the prevention committee. The social elections will take place in May 2016.

Whether you're organizing the elections for the umpteenth time now or it's your first time and you are completely on your own, a thorough preparation is key to avoid any problems down the road. AMBOS NBGO has a profound expertise in this matter and is happy to share its practical experience with you and discuss actual cases and give clear explanations.

The following topics will be discussed:

  • Do I need to organize social elections in my company?
  • What's a technical business unit? (learn the criteria used in practice)
  • Can I change the structure of my business prior to the social elections?
  • Can I make an agreement with the labor unions regarding the social elections?
  • Which employees are eligible?
  • Who can be nominated?
  • When starts the employment protection?
  • What can I do to prepare myself and my organisation?

Participants will have ample opportunity to ask questions.

This lunch debate is offered free of charge.

Location: Neerveldstraat 109,1200 Brussels (parking available)
