Effective February 1, 2022, all businesses must limit their payment terms in their commercial transactions to a maximum of 60 calender days.

On 27 October 2021, a draft bill was introduced that will oblige banks to check with each transfer whether the IBAN account number and the name of the beneficiary match, similar to the 'IBAN-Naam Check' in the Netherlands and the 'Confirmation of Payee' in the UK.
